25 <code class="function">glDrawElements</code> specifies multiple geometric primitives
26 with very few subroutine calls. Instead of calling a GL function
27 to pass each individual vertex, normal, texture coordinate, edge
28 flag, or color, you can prespecify
29 separate arrays of vertices, normals, and so on, and use them to
30 construct a sequence of primitives with a single
31 call to <code class="function">glDrawElements</code>.

33 When <code class="function">glDrawElements</code> is called, it uses <em class="parameter"><code>count</code></em> sequential elements from an
34 enabled array, starting at <em class="parameter"><code>indices</code></em> to construct a sequence of
35 geometric primitives. <em class="parameter"><code>mode</code></em> specifies what kind of primitives are
36 constructed and how the array elements construct these primitives. If
37 more than one array is enabled, each is used. If
38 <code class="constant">GL_VERTEX_ARRAY</code> is not enabled, no geometric primitives are
39 constructed.

41 Vertex attributes that are modified by <code class="function">glDrawElements</code> have an
42 unspecified value after <code class="function">glDrawElements</code> returns. For example, if
43 <code class="constant">GL_COLOR_ARRAY</code> is enabled, the value of the current color is
44 undefined after <code class="function">glDrawElements</code> executes. Attributes that aren't
45 modified maintain their previous values.
