67
Once upon a time I brewed beer. Then I lost access to my roommate's
68kettle owing to moving three hundred miles, and there was much sadness
69for my poor kit lacked all but this very expensive kettle. A new
70kettle has finally fallen into my hands, and so beer may be brewed
71again.

75
76
I started brewing again with a few friends (makes it much easier to
77actually get around to doing it when you have help). Since multiple
78people are involved we are using a wiki to collaborate. This poor page
79will probably remain dusty because I can just put things there
80instead.

cd536704 86
I decided to at least make a stab at being unlazy and actually linking
87to the files that are stored with the website. I keep a reasonable
88brewing log (probably dry and boring to almost everyone) in the files
89themselves.

d55b30bd 91
I'm only bothering to list recipes that have been brewed and bottled
92here—information on anything in the pipeline is at the brewing wiki
93since it is liable to change a lot.

94
95
Since old trusty QBrew is no longer actively maintained and Brewtarget
96is I've switched over to that. Meaning my newer recipes are in BeerXML
97that theoretically can be imported into other programs, but may very
98well only work in Brewtarget.

9be210c0 101English IPA

102
103
We had a lot of leftover ingredients after
104Steve's amazing brewing Odyssey, most of them English grains and
105hops. As such I threw together the leftovers into what seemed like it
106would be a good approximation of an English IPA. We even threw this
107onto the yeast cake of the last batch in the wedding brews (an ESB).

d55b30bd 108
9be210c0 109
Unfortunately, it was a wee bit underwhemling. Since we have a fancy
110temperature controlled fridge now, I decided to brew around 68F (no
111risk of overshooting). It came out slightly musty and generally
112bland... still, for being made from leftovers it's alright.

9be210c0 120Cernunnos (Ginger-Chamomile Wheat Ale)

121
122
Cheap and quick to make, this is ready to drink after a quick
123fermentation and as soon as the bottles carbonate. The chamomile
124really shines here adding a honey-like note; the ginger adds
125additional earthiness and a bit of zing; Sorachi Ace hops finish
126everything up with notes of lemon cream.

146dry hopping a bit — the Centennial was out of place, and the extra
147dry hopping overpowered the fruity notes present in Batch A. But
148the extra bitterness and attenuation definitely improved things.

185
My girlfriend hates carbonation and so, inspired by Edwort's
186Applewine, I started experimenting with batches of cider. I'm keeping
187some notes, but doing it more by "I guess this is the gravity..." than
188with brewing due to the fairly different production
